Workforce Transition Strategies for Human Resource Professionals
Our discussion leader, George Fleming, formerly with Right Management Consultants, the world's largest provider of career transition services, will provide an explanation of the important changes in organizational "workforce transition programs', formerly called "outplacement services', that human resources professionals are responsible for in their organizations. It is difficult to overstate the importance of becoming aware of this trend during these challenging economic times.
Given George's previous twenty years of business management experience in the financial services industry as an internal operations marketing executive and his current professional role as a highly skilled transition expert and business coach, he will provide important insights into how the decade old "outplacement programs" have evolved and have little resemblance to what they were at the beginning of the decade.
In his presentation, George will discuss the reasons for the change in the perceived value of workforce transition services within companies and potential service users. He will define what service users currently seek and present a model for an effective workforce transition services program for employees at many different organizational levels.
George Fleming has earned a BA at Amherst College and an MBA at Columbia University.
He is the founder of "Momentum Coaching Resources" in Phoenix AZ and is considered a major leader in the career transition field. George is often quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Arizona Republic and by Jobing.com. He has a reputation across nearly all economic sectors as an accomplished speaker and is skilled in working with professional groups and facilitating business discussions.
