The Valley of the Sun Human Resource Association provides a wide variety of opportunities to attend human resource events throughout the metropolitan Phoenix area. Our organization is currently comprised of four areas:
The Central Valley Meeting Venue - Phoenix Country Club
The East Valley Meeting Venue - Fiesta Inn
The North Valley Meeting Venue - Hilton Scottsdale
The West Valley Meeting Venue - Arrowhead Country Club
Membership in VSHRA provides you the opportunity to attend any combination of these three area events. You can mix and match which programs you wish to attend up to your ten membership events each year. While we support participation in your primary preferred area, we encourage you to enjoy the various venues and programs offered by all our areas.
All areas of VSHRA gather together four times per year: March- Legislative at the Capitol; August - State Conference; October - Author's Day and December - Holiday (Networking).
The Central Valley Area
The Central Valley Area was created in 2003 as an affiliate area of the Valley of the Sun Human Resource Association (VSHRA). The area was formed to meet the needs of Human Resources professionals living and working in the central part of the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area.
The area holds monthly lunch meetings at the Phoenix Country Club. The meetings include a featured speaker on an industry-related topic as well as the opportunity to network with HR professionals. The monthly meetings have been very well received, with 85 HR professionals attending each event.
The East Valley Area
The East Valley was formerly EVHRA (East Valley HR Association). In January of 2013, EVHRA along with SMA merged with Valley of the Sun Human Resource Association (VSHRA). The East Valley Area serves the SouthEastern area of the valley. The area holds dinner meetings each month at the Fiesta Inn, Tempe averaging 65 attendees per event.
The North Valley Area
The North Valley Area was founded in 2002 as an affiliate of the Valley of the Sun Human Resource Association (VSHRA). The area was formed to meet the needs of Human Resources professionals living and working in the northern part of the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area.
The area holds breakfast meetings six times per year with a featured speaker on an industry-related topic and sponsors informal networking events. Breakfast meetings have been very well received, with 35-50 HR professionals attending. North Valley events are held at the Hilton Scottsdale.
The West Valley Area
Founded in 2003, the West Valley Area holds monthly breakfast meetings. With 35-50 attendees, there are many opportunities for the HR professional to become involved and network with others in our West Valley Community. Come join us for breakfast at Arrowhead Country Club!
