The Valley of the Sun Human Resource Association (VSHRA) is proud to be a local affiliate chapter of the National Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world's largest professional membership organization in Human Resource Management. VSHRA has been recognized nationally for its programs and accomplishments, including being awarded the SHRM Superior Merit Award status.

Founded in 1947 as the Phoenix Personnel Club, the organization has continued to change to meet the growing needs of human resource professionals.  In 1991, we became Metro Phoenix Human Resource Association (MPHRA), and in 2003 we changed our name to the Valley of the Sun Human Resource Association (VSHRA).
