Through our various chapters, The Valley of the Sun Human Resource Association provides a wide variety of opportunities to attend human resource events throughout the metropolitan Phoenix area.  Our organization is currently comprised of three areas:

The Central Valley Area
The North Valley Area
The West Valley Area

Membership in VSHRA provides you the opportunity to attend any combination of these three areaevents.  You can mix and match which programs you wish to attend up to your ten membership events each year.  While we support participation in your primary preferred area, we encourage you to enjoy the various venues and programs offered by all our areas. 

All areas of VSHRA gather together four times per year: February - Legislative at the Capitol; September - State Conference; October - Author's Day and December - Holiday (Networking).

The Central Valley Area
The Central Valley Area was created in 2003 as an affiliate area of the Valley of the Sun Human Resource Association (VSHRA). The area was formed to meet the needs of Human Resources professionals living and working in the central part of the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area.

The area holds monthly breakfast meetings in the Biltmore area. The meetings include a featured speaker on an industry-related topic as well as the opportunity to network with HR professionals. The monthly meetings have been very well received, with 100 HR professionals attending each event.

The North Valley Area
The North Valley Area was founded in 2002 as an affiliate aof the Valley of the Sun Human Resource Association (VSHRA).  The area was formed to meet the needs of Human Resources professionals living and working in the northern part of the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area. 
 
The area holds breakfast meetings every other month with a featured speaker on an industry-related topic, sponsors informal networking events, and an annual Leadership Institute, a half-day program dedicated to the career and personal development of human resource professionals. Breakfast meetings have been very well received, with up to 70 HR professionals attending. 

The West Valley Area
Founded in 2003, the West Valley Area is the newest area of VSHRA.  This year, the area has focused their theme on Working Smart in HR with programs providing membership with several topics throughout the year on professional growth, benefits, competencies, networking for the professional, navigating the SHRM web, and legal updates in HR.

The area holds monthly breakfast meetings.  With 35-50 attendees, there are many opportunities for the HR professional to become involved and network with others in our West Valley Community.  Come join us for breakfast at Arrowhead Country Club!
