Volunteer Opportunities

During October and November and culminating at the Holiday party in early December the VSHRA will be conducting a donation drive to benefit the children residing at UMOM. There are over 200 children who reside with their parents at UMOM and each year they depend on individuals like us to help them have a warm and happy holiday season. All of these families are struggling with financial hardships and without our support their holidays will be gloomy and sad.

There will be a table set-up at the registration area during the October and November membership meetings where you can pick up a gift tag for one or more children. You’ll know their age and gender and have some ideas provided of what to buy for them. We’ll need you to bring the gift(s) you purchase to a November membership meeting or the Holiday Party. The gifts will be delivered to UMOM after the Holiday Party. For the last two years, more than 200 gifts have been donated.
